Summary
I just like Dr. Doom as I find him to be such a quintessential character. Mostly a villain, and sometimes in the role of questionable hero. But lately Marvel appears to have returned him to the villain role at the time of this writing. This story takes place after the Fantastic Four vs. X-Men limited series, although issue four has yet to be published (damn virus). I was conversing with LordGrise upon some topics and a phrase was said that generated this story.
I was going to make this a chapter of my ongoing Doctor Doom storyline (Tango with Doom) but it really does not involve Illyana so I made it a standalone story. Dead Pool was going to have a significant roll, but LordGrise detests Dead Pool and begged that I reconsider my selection. I gave it some thought and… you’ll see. And possible some minor fourth wall breakage because (Doom accepts no limitations!)

Two years after the events at Cape Citadel, things appear to have settled down slightly, but with the current President's time almost over, a new Presidential race beckons. The Mutant Registration Act, the perennial project of Senator Robert Kelly and various other factions, is back up again in a supposedly kinder and gentler version. Magneto has not been sighted, but remains at large.
An alliance of sorts exists between the Hellfire Club and the X-Men, spurred in part by an remarkably ambitious vision to create a mutant community inside America's greatest city, but it is a fragile one, susceptible to betrayal. Dark powers lurk around the X-Men, both evil mutants and far more mysterious eldritch foes- just as emissaries from unfathomably far reaches of space begin taking an interest in them.
Being a mutant- not easy. Doesn't seem to be getting easier, either ...

She slowly managed herself up and to her feet and stumbled out of the engine room. A number of people were staring at her, but no one seemed to be in horror or reacting to any accident. Jessica looked at the giant drop ride. It seemed fine. She watched exit and sighed with relief when Peter and Mary Jane walked out together, holding hands and laughing. They had no idea they were even in danger. It must have stopped close enough to the bottom that no one was hurt.
“Ow!” yelled Jessica as she felt a sharp pain in the back of her head.
She spun around and saw a small crowd had gathered around her on either side. They had formed something of a circle around her and someone else. That someone else was a fit woman in a white and pink spandex suit with matching gym shoes and gloves. She wore a white helmet with a golden visor and the word “Screwball” written across the top in a stylized font. She was grinning smugly and leaning against one of the carnival games, tossing a ball up and down in her hand.
“What gives!?” demanded Jessica angrily.
“Well, well, well...” smiled the woman, “Boss wasn’t kidding. It really IS Jessica Jones! Here to spoil all our fun?”
