He was talking fast enough Ben could barely keep up, but nonetheless, he only felt pride and excitement for his nephew.
He chuckled a bit before placing a hand on Peter’s shoulder. “Tony Stark, huh? Even if you don’t win, you’re still on his radar now, hm?”

At least, that's what she says. Then, it all comes crashing down around her ears (Alongside an apartment building...) After a serious injury in a fight with Rhino and Juggernaut, Arachnid discovers that a certain wannabe-Vampire doctor is getting out of DODC jail early, leaving her scrambling to find a solution. With less than two weeks to find a way to contain Doctor Morbius' bloodlust, Penny is forced to start relying on those around her. But can she open up to others after more than three years of hiding away?
The clock is ticking, Fate is knocking, and Penny's past is catching up. Can our little spider climb fast enough to avoid the rising waters?

"What will you do? you know, when your family inevitably figures out how to take you home...what will you do?" Jeannie asked as the two sat on the edge of the rooftop, staring at the stars.
"I don't know." Petra replied as honest as she could be in that moment, her gaze shifting to look Jeannie in the eyes as she tries to take it all in, "I don't know where I belong anymore."
Jeannie carefully placed her hand on Petra's cheek, as if Petra would be pulled away from her at any moment because that was the reality, "I want you to stay, but if you go just know that I will never stop loving you."
A small breath escaped Petra's lips as she stared at Jeannie, the moment was peaceful and calming even though they were discussing her eventually leaving, but in this one moment everything was simple and everything was perfect. That was all Petra could focus on as her lips met Jeannie's in a kiss that felt like it was straight out of a cheesy coming of age romance.
Eventually she would have to make a choice, but for right now Jeannie was the only one that mattered.
