With a sound somewhere between a huff and a groan, Izzy stalks over, absently plucking the knife from his hand and dropping it on the unit before going into his arms. “Fucking everything,” Izzy grumbles dramatically, breath hot against Frenchie’s neck.It turns out that there's something Izzy isn't very good at. What he needs is a caring boyfriend to the rescue!

He knows Izzy has bad days. When he used to walk Gizmo, there were some days when Izzy wouldn’t appear at all but those got fewer as time went on. Occasionally, he’d be there but snappy and on those days Frenchie would not hang around, their usual cup of tea not offered. He supposes he’s become spoiled since they got together, it never occurring to him that Izzy would have a bad day while he was actually there, as though his presence alone would keep them at bay. It's sobering to learn that's not the case.

At first, it’s just an irritation. A jiggling foot from too much caffeine, or an unfortunate tic he doesn’t quite have under control. But it just gets worse, and worse, until he’s practically vibrating, every movement sending their little table rocking precariously on the wonky floor. Izzy’s pretentious craft ale sloshes in his glass — seven quid a bloody pint, they’re charging for this swill, and Izzy’s sure as hell not going to let Bonnet upend it ‘cause he can’t sit still.
Because Izzy is… well. An expert, of sorts. And in his considerable expertise, he reckons Bonnet is maybe twenty fucking minutes from pissing himself, in front of everyone he fucking knows and plenty of people he doesn’t.
