They stood in a ragged line on the salt-stained deck: Jester Lavorre with her blue-tinged skin and mischievous smile, Fjord Stone shifting his weight from boot to boot, Vex'ahlia examining her fingernails with feigned interest, Mollymauk Tealeaf's jewelry tinkling softly in the sea breeze, and Percy's own husband, Vax'ildan, whose dark hair whipped across his face as he avoided Percy's piercing gaze.
"Which one of you," Percy said, his voice starting as a low growl before rising to a thunderous roar that sent nearby gulls scattering, "is going to explain to me WHERE OUR FUCKING MAINMAST IS?!"
Vax and Percy swore they'd start talking about their problems. No more secrets. Is it technically a secret though if they both know and are just trying to solve it in their own way?

Caleb seemed confused when the simulacra placed the smaller cup in his hands, which was about normal sized in his grip. “Okay?” He seemed to take it more out of not being sure what else to do, rather than wanting tea.
“It’s a very rare blend, my favorite.” Pumat smiles, prompting him to drink.
He hesitantly rests the cup on the counter. “Perhaps you should save it for yourself then.”
“I’ve already poured it for you.” He says, interesting.
“I don’t like tea.”
“I don’t either, but I like it. You should try some.” Pumat smiles. “Perhaps if you like it I can start selling it.”
Caleb hesitated, but took a sip.
Oddly enough his expression remained mostly unchanged. Which wasn’t the usual effect of the dust of deliciousness.
Perhaps his simulacra only put in a pinch?
Actually now that he looked at him, Caleb’s expression seemed very vacant. His eyes almost empty.
Pumat was getting deeply concerned.
