It would be almost reminiscent of Shang Qinghua’s usual personality, except that Shen Qingqiu was a master in hiding his real emotions, and so Yue Qingyuan, who still remembered the kid Xiao Jiu used to be, was the only one who noticed. He didn’t know what was wrong with his Shidi, but he was willing to find out and help out in anything he could.
And, if learning the truth broke him and put him back together… Well, his body had already been reshaped while trying to save Shen Qingqiu. Might as well do the same with his heart.

This system tells him that he was selected to play the role of other characters in different universes and that he must complete missions to recover points. Childe having no choice will therefore live 167 different lives.
At the end of his 168th life, he was told that he would wake up in his body during his first life. His mission during this lifetime is to "become the great villain of this story". Bien sûr, il apprend que l'univers elle-même est une histoire interactive centrée sur les 2 jumeaux : Lumine et Aether et que Childe qu'importe les choix du lecteur sera le grand vilain. A son réveil quelques semaines après l'apparition du voyageur, Childe décide d'accomplir sa mission correctement et devenir le grand vilain de l'histoire et cette fois, il sait quoi faire sans finir torturer et tuer par son amant, tout en devenant le boss final de cet univers !

Fans either played to unlock the “True Love” endings… or, like Shen Yuan, played to roast the writing in the forums.
He’d finished every route, even the secret “Scum Villain” DLC featuring Shen Qingqiu’s doomed bad-end romance with Luo Binghe. When he mocked the devs one last time (“At this point, you should just let me rewrite your plot”), the game crashed with an ominous pop-up:

Shen Jiu’s body froze instinctively as he readied himself for a blow.
But it never came, because when Shen Jiu managed to look up, all he could see was a man’s broad back swathed in black robes, his grip tight around Qiu Jianluo’s wrist.
“Qiu-gongzi, what could ever make you think that a charlatan like me wouldn’t want this boy as his disciple?”
