Summary
Black Womb harvested the genetic material of both Douglas Ramsey and the Technarch known as Warlock, and set about to make human weapons from the source material. After forty tries, they succeeded, making five test subjects that they sped grew to their early teens. Eventually, the children are able to escape and are found by the X-Men, where they get to know their progenitors and restart their lives.

Summary
While in hot pursuit of the time-traveling dimension-hopper known as Cable, FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder, Dana Scully, Monica Reyes and John Doggett tumble unceremoniously through a magical portal, transporting them from the Year 1999 on Earth-1013 to the Year 2026 on Earth-0616 in the blink of an eye. There, they meet "Generation X," a sassy gang of superpowered tweens, led by a little Firecracker named Jubilation Lee. Can the two groups hailing from literally different worlds learn to Trust one another and work together to somehow take down the Biggest, Baddest Mutant Boss of All Times and All Universes, the mysterious and almost invulnerable mutant supervillain known as Apocalypse?
This story is based on a fanfiction I wrote with my best friend when I was thirteen years old in which the X-Files' Spooky Squad meets The X-Men! This is a kind of "mid-quel" between my two fics "A Rose By Any Other Name" and "The Age of Aquarius," but you can read it just as well on its own! I hope ya'll enjoy it and Happy 2026!- Language:

“I was sixteen, when it happened.” He types, gesturing with one hand to his mouth, throat, and chest. “I was out late with my girlfriend at the time- we’d gone to a concert. She- there was light, white and hot and awful and I saw her being lifted off the pavement and I- I couldn’t stop it.”
Paige frowns. “Starsmore-”
“Jono.” He types. “Please, I prefer being called Jono.”
“Jono.” She says, testing out the name on her tongue. “Was she-”
“She disappeared for a while.” Starsmore- no, Jono types. “Vanished. No note, no phone calls, no evidence of anything other than what had been done to me…..I was- they pronounced me dead at the scene initially…I apparently came to in the ambulance, missing half of my chest. I was in a medically induced coma for over a year before I was fully stabilized.”
Paige’s stomach drops, her eyes raking over his form. She knows what that looks like, can very easily imagine him, perfectly still in a hospital bed, connected to machines that offer his family little hope beyond a stable heart-beat. “And your- your girlfriend?” -

“Paige.” He says, trying not to appear desperate. He has a facade to maintain, he feels the need to wear it as a shield. “Are you still comfortable with computers?”
“That’s an understatement.” She drawls. “Why?”
“Would you be willing to come look at something for me?” He asks.
“Roberto, what’s going on?” Paige’s voice has become clipped and accentless. “You have a whole IT department on staff- you don’t need me.”
“I do.” He says. “Please Paige. I wouldn’t have called you if I didn’t think I needed your help.”
Roberto gestures for his secretary to stand down, waiting until they’ve removed their hand from the security button before he gestures for Paige to sit, closing the door behind her. “My company was hacked by someone skilled enough to evade my people tracking them.”
“And this is a problem for me to solve, why?” Paige asks, crossing her legs and then crossing her arms over her chest.
“Because the attack was targeted.” Roberto says. “My employees had their screens taken over and were shown a threatening message- and I-” He sighs, turning on his monitor and then opening a blank document. He pastes an image onto the screen, but refuses to look at it. “I got this.” -

There is no precedent for what comes next, and no one seems to know or care enough to set things right. A pre-canon exploration of Chamber's origin story, largely inspired by my own musings on how a society which struggles to respond to the relative limits of human diversity would respond to the infinite variety of mutants.

It’s fun, it’s good, it’s great even…and then Shogo bursts into tears in the other room.
Jono quietly excuses himself for a moment and returns with an armful of sniffling toddler. He nuzzles his nose against the boy’s hair and sings softly, an old half-remembered lullaby he vaguely recalls from childhood. He struggles, but manages to fix a sippy cup of milk, despite the two year old’s squirming. He could almost forget that Paige was there if not for the fact that she is thinking very loudly about him, not ten feet away.
Fuck he’s hot. Why is this hot?
Jono feels heat rise to his face and tries to pretend he isn’t flustered as he gently bounces Shogo until his son calms down. He has a few guesses about why Paige might think this is hot but he knows she isn’t receptive to them. “He…doesn’t like to feel left out.”
Paige blushes and plays with the ends of her hair. “You’re really good with him.”

When the paperwork comes in under the gap of his door, it’s marked with several stamps on failed deliveries and rerouting addresses. The fact that it’s found him isn’t surprising—he damn well expects the postal service to use publicly available information to give the Wolverine an envelope with his damn name on it, even if they covered it the fuck up with a sticker from Canadian post first. The surprising part, looking over the stamps and addresses he’s inhabited over the years, is the timeline of his life they’ve somehow followed.

Jonothon Starsmore was 14 when he lost his organs. After that, his parents couldn't deal with having a freak, especially with what he's done so they sent him away. The young boy ended up at an academy specifically designed to teach freaks like Jono how to use his powers for the greater good. Jonothon's accident left him cold and bitter, unwilling to even try but a new school meant new oppurtunties. Besides, it wasn't like he had many options.
