Lucan was raised in what seemed like the pits of hell. Fed only on fetid scraps of the dead, slept on cold stone, and only spoke to his hell-bringer when spoken to. That was until his lucky escape a decade after his arrival, where he fled and was brought to safety when an aasimon brought him to the safety of a neighboring kingdom.
In the Kingdom of Blumenthal, he was able to pick himself up and serve his new home as a knight, swearing by his oath to protect the blessed lands from the curse his hell-bringer has unleashed before the people.
He had plenty of allies to support his cause, but with fragments of his past coming to light and old habits returning, his oath is broken the moment it is claimed, and he's forced to flee from who he once loved with hope to bring an end to the man responsible for the release of the curse on the people. With Archon Basil set on leading the chase after the sinner, he's unsure if his goal is to kill, imprison, or reclaim Lucanus's heart, beating or not.
