Summary
“So, who is it?” Buck said after a minute.
“Who’s who?” May asked, confused.
“The dispatcher who’s being a dick to you.”
“Seriously Buck, it’s fine, just leave it.” May groaned.
Buck glared at her, a look he’d picked up from Eddie as his husband had a habit of using it whenever Buck did something stupid, “So what’s the plan? Just wait until one of you moves on? You’re both at the beginning of your careers, there’s no guarantee one of you will leave soon.”
“She’s, uh, she’s not at the beginning of her career.” May admitted, looking away from her brother sheepishly.
“Maaay, how old is she?” May tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, refusing to make eye contact with Buck, “Come on May, fess up.”
“She’s in, like, her mid-50s.” She cringed.
Buck was gobsmacked by that, “Woah, I’m sorry, she’s in her 50s? A whole ass adult woman is bullying you? A literal teenager?”
or
Buck goes to visit May at dispatch only to find out about a dispatcher picking on her. Like any good big brother he takes matters into his own hands.

Summary
Evan Buckley sues the city after he is told he's not allowed to return as a firefighter because his captain - who he had viewed as a father - thinks he wasn't capable anymore.
But when he realises that the lawsuit wasn't the way to go, it's too late and he's being ignored by the whole of the 118. So when he goes to the doctors for a routine check in after all that had happened with his leg in less than a couple months and is told that there may be something much worse wrong with him - he has no one to go to. No one to lean on. No one to help.
So when it's confired that Evan 'Buck' Buckley has cancer and that was the real cause behind his pulmonary embolism, he runs.
He tells no one. He quits the 118. Leaves fire fighting behind. And decides that without his family, there's no reason to fight the cancer.

Summary
“We have no sign of possible victims, but a kid came up to me and informed me that his friend, Harry, went into the building after he told him to call 9-1-1.” Bobby said and Athena’s gaze hardened. “Do you know if it was my Harry?” Athena asked and Bobby shook his head. “I’m about to send Buck and Eddie inside to check out the place and find the kid. I’m hoping it’s not Harry, but if it is, I hope he’s not seriously hurt”. Bobby said truthfully and Athena nodded.
Or Harry needs more centric fics, so I wrote one.

Summary
Bobby hadn’t really expected Eddie to open up so easily; it’s a testament to how comfortable he is with his captain that he felt willing to immediately slip Christopher’s name into conversation, to allow that to open into something else. The last thing that Bobby wants to do is push Eddie to talk about things he’s not ready to discuss, but he’s noticed that Eddie has a habit of pulling away from uncomfortable conversations, and he’ll bottle his feelings until it bursts. That’s how he ended up mixed up with an illegal boxing tournament, and that was a conversation Bobby doesn’t want to have again. Or the one where Eddie’s struggling against it all, Bobby offers the best experience he can, and a family is built by love.

Summary
“I know it’s hard for you to open up sometimes, and I know you hate the thought of making yourself someone else’s responsibility-”
“Pot, meet Kettle,” Bobby grumbles before he can stop himself, a feeble attempt to try lightening the mood.
Buck shoots him a frown, annoyed and frustrated, but- “Shut up.” -there’s no heat in his words, and Bobby can’t help the small chuckle that escapes him.
it's been a few weeks since that fateful night, and they're all adjusting to their new normal.
a normal that has a very distinct lack of buck in it.
bobby's not the only one who's noticed that the kid's been shying away, and he's finally going to get to the bottom of this.
even if that means having a few difficult conversations along the way.(aka the fic where buck is questioning his place in life, bobby hates the buckley couch, & they both realize that maybe they should have been more honest with each other from the beginning)

Summary
14 minutes.
14 fucking minutes.
He gets it now, truly gets it, what it must have been like when the roles were reversed, when Bobby was the one praying for a miracle and Buck was the one fighting to survive.
"I know that wherever you are right now might seem perfect, but dammit Bobby- They need you here."
I need you.
bobby's been comatose for several hours.
buck's... not coping well. -

Summary
Maybe it had started somewhere long before that, maybe even from the first moment the kid had bounded into his life, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and a bit bashful, before he began breaking through every single one of Bobby's carefully constructed barriers like he had been born to do it.
Without invitation, without preamble, Evan Buckley had stumbled his way into Bobby's life, and saved him more times than he could count. After a call, Bobby slips, and almost spirals.
Buck makes sure to be there before it can happen.
Neither of them are prepared for the fallout.(or bobby and buck finally have a conversation that has needed to happen ever since buck woke up from his coma)
