Summary
John stared at the eyeless muse, waiting for her to crack a joke or at least a smile. Something to let the poor kid know that this wasn't what was actually waiting for him--for all of them--so close to the end of the game. No such solace came, and a dull memory began to flicker in the back of the teenager's head, one that burned hot for just a moment before fading quietly into a migraine waiting to happen. A memory of himself and his ectobiological sister. And a movie he hadn't realized was as AWFUL as it was.
"So, is being a shitty writer a requirement for cherubs, or is it a family trait?"
The Heir of Breath is recruited by Alternate Calliope to help ensure Homestuck^2 never happens. The clearest way to make it work is to force the game to run a patch before its completion, but it will require a lot of work on John's end, and the results are something no one but Alt Calliope and her increasingly fed up editor could have expected. John has never felt closer to the Makaras, and as time goes on, the feelings start to be reciprocated.

Our dearest protagonist fully snapped from the troubles of his life, and ended up, well, his story abruptly ends. However, he attracted a mysterious entity who loomed over him and basically said, "You deserve Life."
Meanwhile, Jade and Dave’s SBURB shenanigans landed into a catalyst for absolute divergence...over a PICKLED CROW. Friendships forged, relationships strengthened, problems solved, traitors show themselves, and one singular sprite wondered what it was like to actually be free from a sedentary and restrictive life while balancing Time's order.
Will one Crowsprite (and then Davesprite) be able to change the world? Or will he end up letting the same events over and over happen again?
(And again and again and again. You know how time loops go.)

For a boy named Dave Strider, the most unusual thing to happen to him after being transported into a game—and being almost crushed by a meteor beforehand—was his sprite acting strange around him. Sure, Crowsprite was...odd unlike Jasperssprite or Nannasprite, but it was somewhat...calm. But he wasn't able to know if it can even speak before it flew off to somewhere.
For a certain brother, he was haunted by a mistake in the form of a glowing, orange sprite, as he tried to initiate the Scratch. And as it turned out, that sprite was there to help him, as some asshole with a knife is out to get him.
For another Dave, he left his doomed timeline, and he didn't wanted to make this decision first. But after he reunited with his sprite that was now fused with his Bro, tellling him everything a crow shouldn't know, and spontaneously explode while leaving more questions and answers, he can't go back. Not with that asshole who stabbed him existing.
And meanwhile in the long past, a young crow takes care of his murders, watching over a certain someone, and hope—oh-so hope—that his efforts pay off.
(Or: SI!Crow...as in a random crow. Timelines and reconciliations ensue, and also self-doubt.)

That part of her that demanded she throw chairs and raise her middle finger at any and all opportunity. It remained, nothing more than a spark, and now looking upon the last of her wayward cross-dimensional companions the Handmaid decided to indulge the urge in her final moments. The last clarion call, a final fuck you to her masters.
She liked that.
