Monsters have been freed from their prison underground. They are finally able to explore and enjoy the world that humans refused to let them live in. Everything is going great! Maybe some humans are bad and judgemental towards them, and maybe some of them throw horrible insults at them, and maybe some do... other stuff. Well, that's no problem for The Great Papyrus! He's a tough guy! Nothing can get through his sharp bones. Not even an unexpected meeting with a human, that leads them both to an alleway and... huh, Papyrus can't seem to remember what happened next. That can't be right! His memory is sharp and always relliable!

Frisk climbs a mountain and inadvertently awakens an ancient terror sleeping beneath the flowerbed they land on when they fall. If by "ancient terror" one assumes the less-popular definition of "annoying narrator-ghost princet of monsterkind who is now, unfortunately, permanently stuck in their head."
Chara doesn't want to be awake. They especially don't want to be helpless in the back of a bloodthirsty human's head, watching them ruin the only home they've ever known with no power other than their voice to fight back with. Luckily for them, that's not what's happening at all. Unluckily for them, they may have to re-evaluate a few things about their worldview. Which, for someone as set in their ways as them, is not an easy thing to do.
(Then there's the matter of the weird flower, Frisk's unusual powers, and the Longest of Long Days the underground has ever seen.)Chara & Frisk no player AU true pacifist. Completed!

With the help of a mysterious ghost girl named Chara who only she can see and who she shares a connection with, as well as some new friends, especially a certain pair of skeleton brothers, Frisk tries to get back home to her sister, but what will be the cost? And how far will Frisk go to protect both her sister and her new friends?

Papyrus has taken it into his head that joining the Royal Guard is his path to friends and popularity. Undyne is more convinced by the day that joining the Royal Guard is not for him. She realizes that she's come to like having him around, so that means it would only suck more if he got himself killed by a human. Sometimes, being a hero means making the hard choices.
Still, sending him away only leaves her feeling worse about things. With a little help from her favorite nerdy scientist and Papyrus' weird brother, Undyne learns that the strength to fight is not all there is to life, and that even heroes are allowed to have friends.
