Summary
Beyond the sea, past where the ocean meets the sky, Carnival Lecroux find themselves upon the icy continent of Drakkar after striking up a deal in exchange for gold with a nasty warlock. But the crew do not realize the nature of this continent, and how evil it can really be - especially during the winter. This is only proven further when they are attacked unexpectedly, and Hootsie Grimgrin is separated from her folks, forced to trek through the icy landscape on her own. But an 8-year-old human girl is especially fragile when faced with the brutal winter of Drakkar.
The universe seems to be on her side when she meets up with an unlikely party of adventures, a party that soon becomes like a second family to her. Now, they have an extra mouth to feed, and must keep her alive if they want to reunite her with her Papa. But darkness lurks in the far corners of Drakkar, and the expedition proves to be more difficult than expected....

There was a breath, a pause, and Jornir gazed upon the rabbitfolk in the silence. She had averted her view for a moment, her whiskers twitching as she gazed out the window, into the streets beyond. There was a green glint in her eyes, a hazel glow as the moon shone down on her. Her curly hair, which was auburn in color, was hastily tied back into a ponytail, that extended down her back. Her long ears poked out from the ringlets, and had flopped back. Jornir was quite disappointed— what the giant wouldn't give to touch her hair and her ears.
