"You seem to have all the ideas," Dick says, tearing his eyes off of Roe and turning them back to Lewis. "What do you suggest?"
Dick doesn't trust the little smirk Lewis gives him. Oh, he doesn't trust that look one bit.
"When we bed down tonight, bring him to our 'hole," Lewis says. "He looks half-frozen and you complain enough about how hot I run. We'll put him between the two of us; that'll warm him up and I bet once he's warm enough, he'll sleep." Lewis pauses, considers that, and amends, "It might be more passing out than sleeping, but either way."
It's not the worst plan.

“Hinkle nearly shot him.” Ralph remarked dryly, shaking his head as he smirked into his can of beans. Babe had the gift of gam— almost nobody could spin a yarn as well as the easygoing Philly redhead currently doing his best impression of the aptly-named, “Hinkle.”
Grounded to the here and now by the way that Babe’s knee pressed up against his, Spina could almost pretend that his hands had stopped shaking from either the close encounter or the cold, grateful that his threadbare gloves stopped the tin cup in his hands from rattling.
