Summary
Robert Plant and Jimmy Page meet for the very first time. They hit it off straight away; feelings arise, and the band forms. But the road leading to the confession and eventually, the progression of their relationship is anything but smooth—laced with self-doubt, shame, denial, complicated feelings, and a lot of crying, all against a backdrop of homophobia.
Slow burn.*This story covers 1968 - 1975 plus a 2003 epilogue, and includes real events that happened according to interviews, stories pulled from pictures we've seen and attempts to re-create moments from their past that seem to indicate something more than friendship.
I hope you all enjoy as I poured my soul into this!!

Summary
1973. Led Zeppelin is huge, Jimmy is making himself scarce, and Robert is keeping himself busy to avoid thinking about it. It doesn't work.
I've been wanting to do a tribute to my wonderful friend/coauthor LuxeApocalypse (who came up with the title)'s wonderful story, What Is And What Should Never Be (specifically the 1973 chapter) for a long, long time, but never felt like I had anything to add! Until now! My spin is supposed to be a bit dry and melancholic, retaining the second-person tense that I love so much in WIAWSNB, with added sex with strangers (and friends).

Summary
He felt like the luckiest man in the world.
For him, it was as if the stars were making any kind of wish he could think of come true or that the planets were acting in his favour. Being a young man with a lot of ambition, James Patrick Page would begin a new journey in his life, in which he would finally have the band of his dreams. A band that would go beyond the mystical boundaries of music, where he would be his own boss and would no longer have to make boring songs for the American market. He won't be "just a bass player" or "just the second guitarist" in a band; he'll be a superstar.
Speaking of stars, a star from the flock of kind stars has rebelled against him, the evil star has sent him the God of lust and music, who will make him doubt his entire existence just by looking at the Greek-structured God. Lust really was a temptation, as Jimmy couldn't stop thinking about the new blond-haired singer he'd met on Terry Reid's recommendation.
Robert Anthony Plant is the name of the man who Jimmy can't stop thinking about. Is it really a good idea to have a band in which the lead singer himself steals the limelight not just from the audience, but from the guitarist too?

Summary
Two souls dance in the flickering light, mirroring the other’s movement, perfectly synchronising, even in breath. Every limb, every joint, tied together by a string, tensing and slacking, pulling and snapping. If only the bodies could hear what their spirits howl from within. Solely among their sonic scape do they ever trust enough to dare expose their tethered flames, leaving emotional carnage in the wake of their shared space.
Fragments of time from the year 1969... cut open and splayed out.

Summary
Instead of finding, you know, other competent adults to reform The Yardbirds (ADULTS in heavy quotations), Jimmy Page rings up John Paul Jones and manages to find three other boys his age and younger. Surely nothing could go wrong, especially not with their access to the internet, right?
(Or, as it says in the title, Zeppelin as Zoomers. I don't think I've seen any modern aus that age them down a bit, or really let them be silly. Jimmy is controversial, Robert is a modern-day hippie, Bonzo is really into war, and Jonesy is trying his best to be respectable.)

Summary
Robert takes care of Jimmy and helps him throughout his addiction-related struggles, as a friend first (or so he thinks), and soon crosses the friendship line, too. Includes clumsy, teary-eyed confessions.
Based on real life events regarding Jimmy's struggles with addiction, sometimes changed to suit the story better. Events include Jimmy confessing to road manager Richard Cole that he can't stop using smack, Richard Cole finding Jimmy as a pitiful silhouette sitting at the end of the bed so thin he looked like a bolster, Robert asking that the lights brightness be adjusted before starting an interview (due to Jimmy's discomfort), also him stirring Jimmy's coffee when he was too smashed to do it himself, and the stomach ache episode Jimmy experienced on stage during a live performance of Ten Years Gone that he pushed through, leaving the performance unaffected.
*What Jimmy told Richard Cole are his actual words, as recalled by Cole in his memoir.

A collection of drabbles set in 1975, inspired by our favorite YouTube comment “Page and plant genuinely like each other.” Exploring the concept that not only are these terrible men madly in love—they actually do, against all odds, genuinely like each other.

Summary
“Jimmy’s personality initially was… I don’t think I’d ever come across a personality like it before. He had a demeanour that you had to adjust to; certainly it wasn’t very casual to start with. Bonzo and I were much more basic in every respect, in how to deal with everything — including Jimmy. Because he had to be dealt with.”

Summary
Backstory: Summer 1973. Jimmy & Dahlia had gotten married in the past year. Some of the more territorial newer wannabe groupies are having a hard time coping with not just her continual presence on tour, but now Dahlia's new status as THE Mrs. Page. Her & Robert's displaying their close friendship doesn't help.
Robert & the new Mrs. Dahlia-Maria Dominguez-Page find themselves bored of the Sunset Strip party they're at with the gang. Their subsequent finding a friendly way to deal with their boredom amongst the goings on that the hangers on & wannabe groupies live for by escaping certainly doesn't help. Robert offers the escape. Robert is always ready to rescue a maiden from their boredom. Especially one that he has admired for years as with Dahlia. Who even he has to get used to now being Mrs. Page.
Suffice to say, even in his happiest moments in the friendship such as this, he's conflicted. Even though they're not cheating or going behind Pagey's back.
But when he finds himself even moreso conflicted about the cloak & dagger aspect of their innocent little excursion, that he himself offered initially, he then finds that the idea of Pagey finding out also somehow doesn't appeal to him.Series

Summary
You know exactly what he is, of course. You know it because the two of you have met. Six years back, when you’d spent a couple of months following the band around, and looked a lot different. You crossed paths in the Bay Area, at a club after a show at Berkeley—or, more accurately, he took a liking to you from afar, and had one of his goons fetch you and bring you over to him. Fast-forward to 1975. You did not go out tonight expecting to find Jimmy Page in Studio One of all places. Not because you don’t know he’s a flamer—let’s be clear about that—just because Zeppelin’s supposed to be playing shows in the Midwest right now. But here he is, smack dab in the middle of a gay club, pretending to neither be who he is, nor to know where he is. He glances at you again; oh, he definitely thinks you’re cute. Knowing him, though, there’s no way he’s going to approach you in a million years.
What do you have to lose? Not your dignity—that’s his thing. Repugnant as he is, he sure is pretty. You straighten up, smooth your hair back, and start making your way across the room while he furiously reverts his gaze to his beer bottle and picks at the label.

Summary
"In Cole's 1992 memoir, Stairway to Heaven, he tells of a harrowing drive from Spokane to Seattle. An Arctic blizzard meant that Spokane airport was temporarily closed, but the band had an important show to do at the Whiskey A Go Go on 2 January. So Cole took the enormously risky decision to drive the band through the snowstorm; a two-hundred-mile journey through knee-high slush and towering snowbanks that 'started out bad and quickly got worse'"
Or, the best way to create a lifelong bond within your band: pack them in a car and throw in a historic snowstorm, a creaky suspension bridge, severe Hong Kong flu, and hope for the best

Summary
The Farm Frolics AU (also affectionately known as the Welsh Fuck Cottage AU) is a joint project by bron_yr_aur and LuxeApocalypse. The result of many long, agonized conversations about Jimmy and Robert’s fate and how we could change it in fiction, the series seeks to answer the following questions: what if the accident in 1975 was avoided somehow and the planned tax exile and ensuing world tour proceeded uninterrupted? What if Jimmy and Robert decided to go all in and shack up together in a love nest in the hills of Wales? Can a dog person and a cat person live together and make it work? What happens when they both become goat people?
There’ll be fun, frolics, fucking, and farm animals (the latter two NOT at the same time, thank fuck …) Silly adventures, occult mishaps, cuddly domesticity and lots of love. Also a touch of bittersweetness early on, but that doesn’t last long.
This series is a work forged from our own demented imaginings, and written entirely out of admiration and love. We wish to make it clear that certain tragic events do not happen in this universe, and we will therefore refrain from going into detail regarding the whats, hows and whys, out of respect for the individuals concerned.
