Summary
The monitor on his ankle was a leaded weight that was getting harder to ignore by the minute. Cole had run away from two foster homes and a group home at this point, as well as having a history of self harming and an attempt, so it was understandable that he would be sent to a high risk group home. Though, the people he talked to hadn’t called it a group home. They called it a ‘monastery.’

Summary
Turning into a dragon looks cool on paper. But no one ever talks about the side effects.
While Lloyd struggles with new senses, Jay recovers his memories, Kai has to confront his trauma from the Lands of Monster, Nya turns into a sneaky little menace and Zane worries about everyone. Cole compiles all of it over the weeks.
Why are Kai and Nya hissing at each other like feral cats? Why is Jay slow-blinking at him and why is Zane growling at him? And wait— is Lloyd purring??
In the end, they’re not really cats.
They are legendary ninjas who have saved Ninjago and the merged realms more times than anyone can count. They can totally handle this.
Spoiler: They really can’t.

Or maybe I’ve been a little too inspired by the latest Ninjago season and this idea rotted in a messy corner of my brain and spread like a weed :’)
For Cole fans, don’t worry! There will be plenty of angst for our favourite master of earth too!
