"Will you let me help you, then?" Dark green eyes were fixated on his. "It makes me very upset when you don't want my help. It's like I'm not good enough or something." Once again, his eyes were watering, and Yuuji couldn't bear the sight.
"Don't say that!" He was almost as hurt as Megumi was pretending to be, his chest tight with regret. "P-please— help me." He was close to tears, and really, really embarrassed, and he just didn't want his friend to feel bad about himself.
"Is that what you want? You're not just saying that to make me feel better?" He was leaning back down, to whisper on Yuuji's ear, using his free hand to support himself. "I'm just trying to be a good friend to you, isn't that right? Friends should help each other, and I really, really want to help you, Yuuji." He let go of Yuuji's hand, taking his now free hand, to grab his jaw.
"I do, I want— I need your help. Please." He was looking up at Megumi, just saying the words he thought he wanted to hear.
"Open your mouth." He commanded, and Yuuji obeyed.
