How had Shane Hollander lived this long without cataloging all of the colors in Ilya Rozanov's eyes? Oceans of swirling blues and greens and golden flecks that reflected the summer sun. They had always been there, but now it was like he was truly seeing them for the first time. They made the world quiet.
The first thing Ilya Rozanov remembered about meeting Shane Hollander was his freckles. Even as a cranky seventeen year old, he was charmed by them, but seeing them up close, tanned from the summer sun, he realized they were actually a thousand tiny stars.
