“Crowley?” the angel asked softly. His eyebrows looked almost painfully pinched. “Whatever happened to your eyes?”
“S’just contacts, angel,” Crowley muttered, suddenly feeling as if his collar was choking him. “They’re not permanent.”
“But why?” Aziraphale blurted.
Crowley wasn’t sure what answer he’d wanted, but it certainly hadn’t been that one.
“They’re little plastic discs the humans made,” he rasped around the lump swiftly forming in his throat. “All sorts of colours, whatever you want, but they just sit on top. Clever little buggers haven’t figured out permanent yet, but I’m sure— ”
“Crowley, no!” the angel snapped, slamming his glass to the table. After a deep breath in, he seemed to compose himself slightly. “That is… well... what I mean to say is…” Aziraphale trailed off with a defeated sigh. “Oh Crowley, why ever would you change your beautiful eyes?”

The static raised enough to drown his own voice, and Lucifer was unsure of what to do. He didn’t want to betray Alastor’s trust by touching him while he was in such a state, and his words seemed to be making everything worse. The sinner was flinching whenever his voice came out and…

Lucifer couldn’t do this.

The man screamed, ragged and raw, and flung Blitz like he was a bothersome rag. Blitz flew. The pendant flew. Blitz's head cracked against a conveyor belt, and he blacked out for a heartbeat before he managed to turn onto his side and catch sight of his skull charm flying.
"Millie!"
Blitz froze.
The pendant was on a conveyor belt leading away from Blitz, away from the fight, nestled between two packages. Moxxie's scream was guttural.
Blitz's head pounded. He turned.
One of the humans had Moxxie by the back of his coat, flailing in the air. Three other humans, including the one that had thrown Blitz, had Millie surrounded. One of them was holding Moxxie's gun and aiming it at Millie. Millie was crouched. Her axe was gone. She growled at the humans like a feral cat.
Blitz sent one last desperate look at his skull pendant. Then he bent his legs and launched himself into the air toward Millie and Moxxie.

“This is my choice; no te preocupes.”
Then Vassago crouches back beside Stolas, once again resting his arm over his shoulders. His cape is warm and heavy against him, lighter than Stolas' own but perhaps magically infused. Vassago gently holds him by the underside of his beak, turning him to face him. Stolas takes in his kindly, comforting expression for only a moment before it hardens, his fiery gaze returning to the rest of the court.
“Gracias, Your Majesty,” he says to Satan, “you will not regret this mercy.”
With that, he summons a star-shaped portal to deliver them both back to his palace.

After the trial, Vassago thinks Stolas' verdict is completely unjust. Unwilling to see him abandoned by the Goetia, he takes him to his own palace to care for him.
