The last thing you expected from your clash with Octavinelle and Azul's overblot, was two new eel-shaped friends. Or, perhaps friends was stretching it, you were pretty sure there was some kind of scheme going on, though you also had no idea what they could possibly get from you. Summary
In a mostly canon compliant AU, one major supernatural difference affects the course of the war. Demons can be summoned with the right knowhow and materials, though not without great risk to the summoner and those around them.
Prowl has lost faith in the ability of the Autobots to end the Civil War in a timely manner. He takes things into his own servos and summons a demon to enact his more ethically dubious plans, confident in his ability to create a binding contract that will allow for no danger to any but his enemies.
Jazz, the demon he summoned, is willing to let him think that, and is going to play along. For now.

In the evening before the Battle of the five armies, after Gandalf and Bilbo talked to Thranduil and Bard, the latter two stay together in Thranduil's tent. A moment of curiousity leads to unexpected intimacy.
"You may touch it if you want.", he said.
Thranduil's gaze snapped up from his beard to his eyes in surprise.
"Touch... it? Your beard?", he repeated in a tone of disbelief that Bard had never heard in his voice before. Though he certainly did not seem repulsed by the idea.
