Summary
Atsushi was woken by a loud knocking at his door. He sat up groggily, wiping sleep from his eyes. He squinted at the clock on his bedside and he pulled on a jumper.
3:00 am? Who could be knocking at 3:00 a.m.?
He almost fell out of bed before hurrying through his small, cluttered apartment to the door. The smooth, lino floor was cold under his bare feet.
“I’m coming,” he called as he tripped over a pair of shoes tossed on the floor. The knocking didn’t stop. If anything it grew louder and more impatient. It couldn’t be Dazai, he’d made a copy of the key ages ago. Kunikida always called him first not at 3:00 am and the rest of the agency hadn’t even gone to his apartment before.

Of course, technically, Riyo's part of the second entry. In practice, though, she's never been quite the perfect fit no matter how Enjin tried; now that she's caught her good bud Zanka fraternising with the enemy, she has to deal with whole headaches about what that bubble of isolation makes them both. Worse, Zanka's boyfriend lets his vital instrument be stuffed in a little box just to stay close to who has kept Riyo's flank safe in battle more times than she can count, and made her feel the most connected to her employment out of anyone. Zanka's boyfriend, fucking Jabber Wonger of all people, seems to know Zanka better than she ever had.
It's really interesting what people's priorities expose about them, is it not?
CH. 10 EDIT: for my fellow Explicit rating surfers, your food is, you guessed it, in chapter 10. if you don't mind being kinda confused by the surrounding plot, you'll probably like it even without reading the rest of the fic. zanriyo + zanjab at the same time and vaguely jabriyo if you squint

Tenko remembers that drug-fuelled afternoon. Everything was too loud and bright, and he couldn’t stand seeing Touya’s face. Touching him. Breathing the same air. If Tenko has ever felt capable of murder, then that was the time. In hindsight, Touya was brave to repeatedly find himself in Tenko’s company. Or stupid. The guy was all instinct. Acted before he could think most of the time. Couldn’t keep a fucking lid on his anger, but that was both of them, really.
“It was bruised,” Touya corrects him after a weighted beat, and he blinks once before continuing. “You broke my heart instead.”

Life has unexpected ways of bringing people together. Tenko and Touya haven’t spoken in three years, so when they get the chance to reconnect, there’s a lot to say… and do.

Summary
Zanka is tasked with keeping Jabber from running too wild in his new position with the cleaners. Jabber is a ball of excess manic energy. Daily fights are a little unsustainable when there are trash beasts to be defeated on a moment’s notice.
And since their relationship has been evolving, it's a no brainer. Jabber is a masochist. Zanka has a dominant streak. Easy peasy. It shouldn’t be too different from all the times before.
Except, as usual, Zanka is a fucking wild card. Sex never felt hazy or vulnerable like this with any of the strangers that make up Jabber’s sexual history. Jabber is used to pain, but treated with roughness and care in equal measure is new and very disarming.
