“Is it okay if I ask you some things?” Pac asks, arms crossed over the bar table. His cheeks are flushed from downing several beers. Fit is in a similar state, since with the lack of other guests to entertain, he decided to follow suit.
“You already did.” Fit says with a cheeky smile, then makes a waving motion with his hand. “But sure, go ahead. Ask away.”
Pac smiles back, leaning closer, eyes attentive and curious.
“Why a tavern?”

Time continued passing, merciless and unrelenting for a man so broken.
Fit learned to look back to those memories not with fear, but with affection.
He learned to see Ramon in the eagerness to learn about everything around him, in the explosions heard far away but never fading, and in the googles he now always carried as a part of himself.
He learned to see Pac in the rising sun he was always so eager to greet, in the red roses he carried with him and in the Portuguese words that never left his vocabulary.
He learned to see his family in the everlasting memories that filled his heart and that would never cease to exist.
He was a changed man who no longer survived out of spite, but out of love.

Opening the hood of the car, he saw that the problem was exactly what he had thought: tons of dust that had been kicked up earlier had ended up in the engine filter and blocked the oxygen intake to the engine's intake manifold. In short, he would have to call a tow truck to get him out of there, meaning he would be late for work and have more headaches with these things. He took his phone out of his pocket and turned it on, only to find that he had no signal for calls.
“How I love the countryside.” He thought sarcastically. Obviously, he didn't hate the more “natural” parts of Quesadilla, but now they were the source of his biggest headache.
“Do you need help?” A voice came from behind him, not only giving the black-haired man a little scare and making him squeal, but also shaking Pac to his core. Firm, thick, but with a slight touch of kindness in the question.

Pac is a very tired market owner and his car breaks down in the middle of the countryside, where Fit, a farmer, has to help him, but this encounter ends up changing their lives.

He guesses it can't be that bad, loads of people have roommates he would be fine. So what if his new roommate happens to be the most attractive, smart and considerate man he's ever met? Its only a temporary arrangement.

Summary
The eggs (which are human dragon hybrids) have been rescued from an experimental lab ran by the federation. They used to be human before, but many are too young to remember life before their sharp teeth, claws, wings, and scales. The children come to find out many of the adults who had rescued them came from places very similar, and for once in their lives, the adults around them actually seem to want to help.
OR
Fit tries his best to help the local police station find homes for the load of children they rescued, and along the way he finds two specific boys wiggle their way into his heart, along with a handsome man in a blue hoodie.

There's no leitmotifs or through-lines to be found in singles, but that doesn't mean there's less love put into making them.
