All stories can be read as stand alones if you wish to, but they do have a timeline and effect each other.
All stories will be completed eventually. We are just horrible at timing and consistency. If there is no update for months on end it just means we were sucked into the horrors of life.

“I do.”
As if he could have chosen anything else.
“And do you, Lord Voldemort, vow to bind yourself to Harry James Potter?
“I do.” Voldemort says, his face giving nothing away about why he's wanted any of this, what he's possibly getting from a marriage that he wouldn't have gotten from a regular contract with the Ministry.
“Then by the power vested in me,” The officiant waves his hand over theirs, and warmth starts to emit from the strand of white light tying their hands, which reaches out and curls around each of their ring fingers. “I pronounce you both married, tied together by fate.”

Summary
Harry just wants to have a quiet life and get along with everyone. He wants to be normal, and accepted. Being “normal” for the Dursleys yielded great results in improving his standard of living, and as he heads off to Hogwarts he still retains that impulse to keep his head down and blend in. Of course, life isn’t as simple as that, and Harry is a magnet for trouble. And what does "normal" really mean, anyway? The pure-bloods in his group of friends think he should learn more about their culture and religion if he wants to fit in.
