Deadpool, AKA Wade Wilson, has known Spider-Man for a year now. The two are somewhat close and even meet up every Tuesday, despite having met quite awkwardly in the wild.
Peter knows virtually everything about Wade, but has kept his own identity secret, for safety purposes. Peter trusts him, sure, but he’s still a merc.
That all changes when Spidey accidentally kills Green Goblin, and Deadpool is assigned a hit on Peter Parker.

“Just an interview would be good,” Peter said, clearing his throat. “I’m mostly a photographer, not sure I’ve got the interrogator qualifications.”
“Photographer, hmmm. . .well, I can definitely think of a few things you could take a picture of -” Deadpool started, then stopped, lenses narrowing. “Wait a flaming hot second. Peter Parker? Why does that name sound familiar?”
Peter tensed. Had someone figured out Spiderman’s secret identity and sicced a mercenary on him to try and catch him when he wasn’t in costume?
As Peter began to spiral, Deadpool glanced down at the newspaper in his lap, looking at the front page cover. He squinted, pulled the paper closer to his face, and then let out an auditory gasp.
“Holy shit balls, you’re the guy who takes all those hot pictures of Spiderman!”
“Excuse me?” Peter said, torn between relief and confusion.

or, Peter has to interview Deadpool, which quickly spirals into him being offered an obscene amount of money to sell Deadpool pictures of Spiderman. Between keeping up his secret identity, Deadpool’s flirting, and a growing mob threat, Peter quickly gets in over his head.

Summary
Mike suddenly felt this deep fondness flow through his entire being. It was almost like he was looking at Will for the first time and properly seeing him. Like he was finally beginning to see himself and understand who he was. He would always be friends with Will, nothing could ever change that. He would be stuck with Mike at his side as long as he wanted him there, and Mike wanted to stay there for the rest of his life.
Or: What if Mike was Vecna's fourth victim instead of Max?

“Yeah, in DND Will, not real life.” Mike groans, stretching out across the smooth marble island. He smiles a little at Will bringing up his DND character. He hasn't let himself remember DND since Eddie. “In real life I’m… not. I always run away when I’m scared.”
"That's not true. You stayed with me when I was possessed by the Mind Flayer.”
Mike says too quickly, “You’re not scary.”
“Not even when I’m being controlled like a puppet by an interdimensional shadow monster?”
He says it like it’s funny, but Mike doesn’t think it’s something he can laugh about.
“Never.”

Summary
