Involuntarily, he heard himself make a chirping sound. He had only heard mothers, omega mothers, make that sound. Damn, he really couldn't get away from that part of himself. Holly giggled from outside, "You're awake, I heard you!"
"You got me, Holls." His voice even sounded tired.

Mike had been acting a bit…off. He’d been sluggish and absent-minded, sometimes blinking through conversations like the mere attempt to focus took effort. He stayed physically close to their pack, closer than usual, and especially close to Will. He’d started slumping against tables or chair backs, shoulders rounding in on himself. When Will sat beside him, he would lean just slightly closer, seeking warmth in a way that made Will’s chest ache.
The snarky edge of Mike Wheeler had dulled into something quieter, and it worried him.

Brings his face back to Will; Byers’ neck suddenly cold where the spit dries. “I know you,” his friend murmurs.
“Tonight, you don’t.” Kisses him again. It’s Will’s turn to push his lips to Mike’s scent glad. Scrapes his teeth, delicate over the slightly raised skin. Sucks, very lightly. The smell goes to his core. He’s hot. Burning. Drops to his knees. Fumbles with Mike’s costume. There’s greaves, straps, leather. Leather has never felt so good. Finds trousers underneath, buttons. Mike’s trying to help, but his fingers keep getting in the way, tangling.

May 6, 1996 - Mike went missing.
November 6, 2000 - Mike was pronounced dead.
November 6, 2001- Steve’s wife goes missing.
November 12, 2001 - Steve’s wife is found dead.
November 6, 2004 - Steve was killed.For two years, everything seemed fine. The Harringtons are the new Hawkin’s freaks. Lucas and Max’s kids found their places in Hawkins. Dustin became a well-renowned astrophysicist alongside Suzie becoming a famous engineer, and Will broke up his relationship with his fiancée, Carlton. Everything was going normally. Mike and Will have been together for a couple of years, even when distance made loving each other difficult. Will lives in Lenora Hills, California. Mike lives in Hawkins, Indiana. Somehow, they make it work.
In the spring of 1990, Will comes home to Hawkins, and like most teens in love, their actions become reckless. By summer, Mike is placed in a position. A pregnant omega whose family head alpha is rejecting his unborn pup.
So Mike runs.
With only some cash, dreams, and clothes that he stole from friends and left behind by Will, he makes his way to California in the hopes of making it to the Byers' residence before his baby is born. Mike is willing to do everything he can to achieve that dream, because for once he wants to be the one to write the ending of his campaign.
