Summary
Steven swallowed, looking out across the ocean. The sun had almost disappeared, the red sky growing purple. They thought he was happy, that he was thriving. He couldn’t be the one to pull them out of that fantasy, not when they were finally able to grow on their own. Steven forced his lips into a smile, and it felt so easy. Everyone had enough to worry about, he didn’t need to add to the list of things. No-one else should have to have to fix him.

Everyone is finally happy, growing and thriving. The Crystal Gems loved helping run Little Homeschool, and loved teaching new gems everything about Earth, and how embrace change. But Steven...
