Summary
Hornet ends up in New York during the events of into the spider-verse, and does her best to get home before the impending implosion of the city. She struggles to accustom herself to this strange world, but manages to retain her sanity around this group of impulsive weirdos with spider powers through sheer force of will. Even still, despite being so far removed from even the concept of a "spider-man," she finds herself feeling a certain kinship towards the individuals she meets in their shared responsibility of protecting their chosen cities. A hard won respect that she takes back with her to Hallownest.

Across space, time, and realities, 4 weapon spirits searched for their champions.
The Shield, as always, found their champion almost instantly, choosing a young man from Earth’s Japan to become their wielder.
The Spear and Bow, as always, did find someone to be their Champion, but had to settle on flawed humans from different Japans.
The final spirit, the Sword, had also initially searched Earth as usual…
…but through its search, stumbled upon Hallownest.
The Cardinal Weapons usually never strayed from Earth when finding their Champions. However, the death of such a powerful entity as The Radiance had drawn in the Sword, who had always looked for Strength among its wielders.
So when it had found a soul, empty and vast as the void but whose strength allowed it to care for Nightmares and wield Dreams…
…The Sword had found their Knight.

A big burly man, hair so red that Megumi assumes it’s dyed, stands before him, young but skin dug into with frown lines and faint stress wrinkles. Megumi half jokes to himself that the man might be worse off than Nanami.
He opens his mouth to speak, the question of what happened and where Gojo is on the tip of his tongue. Only when he attempts to voice his words, nonsensical babbling replaces his speech and Megumi wants to scream.

Leon spat out a curse, royally pissed off. That had been such a rookie mistake, letting his guard down when he knew that Krauser was stalking the grounds, playing this twisted cat and mouse game with him. Granted it had only been for a second but he knew Krauser, he knew that a second was more than Krauser needed. In a flash Krauser had knocked his gun from his hand and had twined fingers painfully tight in his hair, throwing him against the nearest wall.
Then Krauser used the grip he had of Leon’s hair to slam his head against the stones. For a moment there was nothing but pain, Leon’s ears ringing as he struggled to get back in control of his own consciousness. He tasted iron, and spat blood on the ground. His head was spinning, and it took all of his self control to even focus, but somehow he managed to wrestle back control over himself.
