Tyler knew it was basic field safety that when someone was pointing a gun at you, you keep your firearm up too. And you don’t under any circumstances, place yourself directly in front of your backup’s line of fire when their gun was raised.
He knew that JJ had to know that too. She was far too experienced not to.
So when she jumped directly between his raised gun and Voit's, he couldn't hold his tongue. No one on the team had been calling her out on her behaviors since Will's death, and he couldn't keep doing that. Not anymore.
