“If she dreams of this world, of these events, then there is a pathway, yes?”
“...Yes. The chains of her memories… could act as one,” the sweet voice from her first dream says. “But… it could damage her. Her memories may not come cleanly, and -”
“Well, such things are well worth the risk. Imagine - having someone who could help, who could know what happened without ever laying eyes on the world…” The voice is sickly-sweet, elated at the prospect. “Do what you must, Nam-”

Waking up at 12 Grimmauld Place wouldn't have been something concerning except for a few things.
1. Harry had fallen asleep in the Eighth years' dormitory.
2. He wasn't even in the right bedroom at Grimmauld Place.
3. Sirius Black was standing right in front of him, looking very much alive.- Language:

Summary
“Harry, stop!”
Suddenly, Draco stood between him and Sirius Black. Harry could barely see past the rage clouding his vision, attempting to aim his wand around Draco’s body. Draco pushed his arm away, cupping Harry’s face with cool hands. Gentle but firm, Draco lifted Harry’s chin so he was forced to look into stormy grey eyes. “Harry, stop. You’re not a killer.”
Harry tried to yank out of Draco’s unyielding grip. “He betrayed—“
“I know.” Draco’s thumbs petted over his cheekbones, and Harry’s eyelids fluttered half-closed despite himself. “You don’t need all that anger, love. Let go. Give it to me. I’ll take care of it.”

Summary
*Edit*: It turns out that this is 50% Marauders backstory, 25% Harry, and 25% The Slowest of Burns
I don't know if this "Harry Potter raised by Sirius Black (and Remus Lupin)" fic featuring Indian Harry Potter, Pakistani Sirius Black, trans Remus Lupin, and the importance of chosen family is the fanfiction we needed, but it might be the one we deserve.
Driven by the mighty need for a loving family and explicit representation.

Summary
This was a bad dream.
It had to be. It must be a nightmare, purgatory, something. Anything, anything at all except for what his sneaking suspicions were saying.
There was no way – there was no way – Harry James Potter had been hit by the Killing Curse and promptly been transported back in time.
And yet.
(Yet another time travel fix-it fic - except it isn't a power fantasy.) (though those are good, too)
