Summary
“Perfect,” Shane repeats under his breath, like it’s a ridiculous word. He stretches his shoulders out a bit; broad, strong torso pushing into the wall behind his body. God, he looks good. Ilya’s gaze slides down to his bare feet on the wooden balcony, then back up the strong walk of his thighs.
“Yes, perfect. Too gay to fuck any women, but not so gay you bother to fuck any other men. Is my ideal situation.”
Years into their messy situationship, it takes sleeping with another man for Shane to figure out that he's gay. Ilya finds this out later.

Summary
“See you in October. Enjoy boring summer,” Rozanov said as he slipped through the open doors.
“Boring?” Shane said, a hint of amusement in his voice. “What makes you think it’s boring?”
Rozanov turned; his eyes slowly traveled down Shane’s body, before making their way back up. “Is Canada. Canada is boring.”
“You’re such an asshole,” Shane said as the doors closed, earning a smirk in return.
He couldn’t stop smiling. Shane had made friends with Ilya Rozanov.OR
What if Shane and Ilya had become friends first instead of jumping straight into hooking up?
A slow burn fic exploring how their lives might have been a little different had they not had to hide every single thing about themselves from the age of 17. Mix between show, book, and my own timeline. About 85% canon. Maybe Shane isn't so uptight and maybe Ilya lets himself be a little bit freer. Friendship is magic like that.

Summary
“Mr. Hollander.” Ilya swallows. “Is a pleasure to meet you, sir.” Pleasure is an understatement, but he can’t parse through English definitions fast enough to find a better word.
“Congratulations.” Mr. Hollander holds up his glass and nods towards Ilya. “No one deserves it more than you, kid. Your work ethic…” Mr. Hollander shakes his head, eyebrows raised, and lets out a low whistle. “You’re hungry. It’s impressive.”Ilya Rozanov is the best damn rookie the NHL has ever seen. Shane Hollander, captain of the Metros and three-time Stanley Cup winner with over 700 career goals (not that Ilya is counting, thank you very much), just wants to help him celebrate.

But when Ilya felt Shane rest his head, Ilya knew it was okay to move. So he snaked his arms around Shane's waist to pull him closer, a soft kiss to the top of the brunette's shoulder before turning slightly to kiss the top of his ear.
"tired again?" Ilya asked, his voice laced with a soft tease that made Shane softly smile "hmm." He nodded, Ilya's lips curled into a smirk "you have no stamina for hockey player... " He began, that tease still there "But, is okei. Sleep"

404.error. Henry.exe’s not working.
Was this happening? Was this truly happening, or was it merely a figment of his imagination? Will he wake up from a nap on this very same sofa, startle awake, finding that Alex was far away from his reach again?
Desperate as he always was with Alex, his hands reached instinctively for his waist, grabbing it and moving him until their bodies were connected in every way. A gasp escaped both of their mouths, making it impossible to discern who made the sound first. The intimacy of it was making him dizzy, all his dreams and all that he had ever wanted were at his fingertips.
He really should gift a cruise to his therapist, if he ended up keeping his soulmate.
“I have never kissed anyone, either.” He confessed, a blush covering his entire face, surely. “Never wanted anyone but you, darling.”
rizcriz prompt: "I was gonna pitch a never been kissed au but both Henry and Alex are both too hot and too horny to make it to adulthood having never been kissed"

Summary
Alex Claremont-Diaz did not have the kind of adult role models that helped him believe in forever love. His parents argued, fought and eventually had to live in different states.
Alex does not want that kind of relationship. He started out wanting a real partnership. He's tried but he’s never been successful at an emotionally intimate relationship. When he feels himself getting too close to someone, he starts looking for a way out. Too often that leads to sex outside of the relationship he’s supposedly in. His parents, coupled with the turmoil of his emotions, and his relationship history have led Alex to the illogical conclusion that he can not be monogamous.
It is with that background that this AU story finds our boys in an open relationship. If you can’t bear to see Alex and Henry that way, scroll on. If you give it a try, know that it works as well as possible until someone breaks the rules. The story takes place over several years. Included at the beginning of each chapter is a reference to let readers know what the timing is for that part of the story. There isn’t a lot of fluff, but I promise a happy ending.
It’s also a story about friends helping friends see what they are otherwise blind to.

Summary
“You don’t remember anything, do you, sweetheart?”
“What?” Henry’s hand falters its course through Alex’s curls.
“The emails.” Alex’s voice is incredibly quiet. So quiet, that Henry thinks he might not have heard him were it not such a muted Sunday morning in the brownstone, the traffic quiet, their brains relaxed properly for the first time all week, their phones on silent.
Henry shakes his head. “Alex, of course, I remember.”
Alex lifts his head from Henry’s shoulder and immediately Henry feels adrift. “Three years ago. It was three years ago today that they were leaked.”
Or, Henry does not recall the days following the email leak. Alex remembers it all in excruciating detail.

Summary
Alex, as always, is utterly captivating.
He accepts his crown with grace and a crooked grin; it’s a duality that only he can pull off. Alex’s megawatt smile is brighter than the hundreds of multicolored shards of light reflecting off the mirrorball in the center of the room. Henry knows that Alex looks good on stage, he knows that Alex knows that he looks good on stage, and apparently, everyone else knows it as well. Henry thinks he sees a girl faint at the sight out of the corner of his eye.
And yet, no one knows about Alex and him. Everyone in the crowd wants Alex, but it’s a losing battle — Henry already won that fight a couple of weeks ago.

Summary
“Hen, baby, what’s wrong?” He drops to his knees, hands hovering over Henry’s slumped form.
“He’s dead,” Henry says, a low whisper that catches in his throat. Alex never whipped his phone out so quickly. His entire home screen is filled with alerts from every newsfeed he follows, each with nearly identical headlines.
King George III dead at 77. Princess Catherine will become the next Queen of England.
—
The King dies, which grinds the United Kingdom to a halt. This is unfortunate, since Henry is in the middle of trying to abdicate his royal title. The enhanced media attention and the weight of expectations test Henry’s new convictions about living truthfully.

Summary
As the unrelenting storm continued to batter the outside walls, another was brewing within the safety of its walls. Lightning flashed again, this time illuminating two men standing across from each other in the opulent room, the physical distance between them infinitesimal, but the emotional…a size of equal measure Henry could not name.
He stared unblinking at Alex as his threat lingered in the air, filling the great space between them, echoing in his ears. ‘You know what? Fucking fine. I’ll leave.’
Now that red string was fraying; each strand of that tightly bound cord was slowly unraveling, until there was almost nothing left.
It shouldn’t have been possible.
It shouldn’t be happening.
The bond of a Soulmate could not be broken.
Only…it could.
