Gideon transfers teams about when Emily shows up. Rossi comes back sooner to fill that space.
Reid isn’t on the team, and never has been.
Reid has been working with a different team, sometimes very briefly with Gideon, sometimes not. They— his team —aren’t very fond of him. Because of problems caused by this, aggression and distrust, Spencer gets transferred to a new team. Hotch’s team. With Gideon gone, although Rossi “replaced” him, the higher ups saw a gap— they could benefit from someone Gideon seems to endorse on their team who can also do the geographical profile.
Introducing to the team, a colder, quieter, even more insecure Spencer Reid. Everyone feels kind of unsettled by it.

Essentially, a Strangers!AUTitle from Birdbrain by Jamie Paige w/ Kasane Teto. Genuinely encapsulates the characterization of Reid in this, just total unsurety and frustration with trying to fit in and socialize when you’re just different and it all feels like it’s only going wrong.

Dipper and Mabel come back to Gravity Falls the summer before college. A lot of things are the same, a lot of things are different. They're teens now, practically grown ups and they still manage to get dragged into Gravity Fall's weirdness. It's just a little bit darker now. A little bit off.
Pacifica Northwest has a secret. More than one. How many? Not your problem, don't worry about it.
She and Dipper get off on the wrong foot, Mabel and Wendy watch in disapproval. It's going to be an exciting summer at least.
