Summary
Will wasn’t having a good night's sleep tonight. His side hurt where he lay, and his neck felt stiff and twisted. Had his bed always been this cold and hard?
Something was creeping up his leg; it felt freezing and slimy, like a vine.
A familiar chill went up his spine. The smell, the darkness, the cold.
The thing was twisting around his ankle, sliding up all the way to his knee, when he was yanked.
He finally opened his eyes only to see darkness. He was being dragged through dirt and branches.
And as the thing dragging him pulled him down into the earth, down into his doom, he reached his hand one last time; he tried to grab something, someone, anything, but nothing could save him this time.“Hey, Will,” Mike was walking up to him as he spoke. “Do you want me to come by your house later today? I just started this new comic, and I think you’ll really like it. I can bring it to you, and we can read it together, if you want.”
Or: Will is having nightmares again, and Mike tries his best to cheer him up.

In this very moment he feels nothing but regret, and as the demogorgon’s claw looms over his body, he wishes more than anything that he hadn’t been such a coward, that he had asked Will about the painting, or that he had sent letters when he was in California, or that he had done anything about the strange, all-consuming feeling that he tried to suppress whenever he thought about his best friend, about the way light made his hazel eyes look so deep, about his lips…
But now he was gonna die, knowing that he never had the chance to do anything about it because he was too scared, too unsure, too late.
But no deathblow came, no pain, no cracking of bones; and suddenly time stopped. And that’s when Mike saw him; his best friend in the entire world, the boy that changed his life and made it brighter, the boy that he had a connection with like no other, the boy that deserved the world and got hell, standing there with his arms outstretched, eyes white like milk, shaking, looking into the demogorgon’s back as if trying to obliterate it with just a stare.

This story follows Keira Sheen (OC), and her nearly-love story with her childhood friend, Anakin Skywalker. This is meant to be a tragic story with a cute, innocent beginning, in which the MC is a bit obsessed with Ani, and she narrates as such. He's a disaster, as usual.
Keira wants nothing but to get closer to Anakin, but he just won't let her. As the story progresses, their relationship keeps getting, maybe stronger, maybe more unstable.
The story follows canon, but vaguely.
It begins with them being younglings at the temple, and ends during Order 66.
