Summary
A year after the 'Four-Hour War,' most of Japan has been reduced to a wasteland. Colonies and scattered communities do their best to survive and make the most of this new world. Late one night, Bakugou and Shinsou break their colony’s rules to bring back the man they once called “sensei.”
Aizawa is alive, but barely. He is malnourished, injured, and missing his prosthetic, but he still has enough life in him to chastise his former students for their recklessness. He intends to recover just enough to leave before he can lose anyone else.
But the longer Aizawa stays, the more he starts to wonder if walking away will hurt more than staying put, especially when Bakugou’s been holding onto a truth since he was sixteen years old.

The world crumbles to a stop. It’s such an abrupt switch, the anger releasing all at once, that he’d blame it entirely for the way he falters – if not for the very real, very acute idea of distress that’s slowly settling in.
His mouth opens. Closes. Opens again, then closes hard enough that his teeth click shut. Mina’s gone silent and still behind him, but he has no possible way of knowing if it’s because she hasn’t realized how deeply she’s fucked up, or because she just doesn’t care.
What feels like an eternity later, he finally manages to croak: “What?”
