Summary
Efnisien ap Wledig is an omega born into an all-alpha family. Abandoned by his birth mother and raised by his aunt, he is subjected to a lifetime of medical experimentation and brainwashing and believes himself to be an alpha. But the experiments begin to fail, and he is abandoned yet again to an Omega Rehabilitation Facility, where the family expects he will be retrained into the 'perfect omega' and placed in an arranged marriage, or be eliminated if this is no longer possible.
The Facility don't know about the experiments, and Efnisien doesn't even know why he's there in the first place, since he's an alpha...isn't he? One thing's for certain, he definitely doesn't need an alpha companion, no matter what the staff at the facility seem to think.

Summary

Summary

Nate, an omega, has been sent to Hillview by his alpha partner who doesn't believe he's good enough to claim or bond with, and wants him trained up at an omega rehabilitation facility to be a better partner. Nate is paired up with the alpha Janusz, who soon realises Nate has been micromanaged and 'trained' already to the point of having his soul shattered, and a journey of slow recovery and rehabilitation begins.

Alois Flitmouse, an older omega, is evacuated from a rehabilitation facility with his alpha companion, Anton, and all the other omegas and alphas on-site, for their own safety and protection when violence threatens. At least Alois is too old to have to worry about going into spontaneous heat due to the fear and unpredictability of the situation unlike some of these other poor omegas, right? ...Right???
(Set after Underline the Gold, during the evacuation that takes place towards the end of Underline the Black and may not make much sense if you haven't read either!)
