Strictly speaking, Shinohara has no real reason to believe that the rumours about Anteiku have any basis in fact; for all he knows, that weird author lady got them from some local fan who just wanted attention or something. Old Man Yoshimura is nice and welcoming, a lot of the folks working in the café are kids - college or even high school - and it's an all-around warm, friendly environment that seems to act as a community hub of sorts. For now, he's just going to have to monitor the situation.
And so, what might have otherwise become the Owl Extermination Operation gets delayed again and again, one cup of coffee at a time...
