Iaceria is a world that is scarred by a cataclysm known as "The Terminus" that happened 2000 years ago, The stars died out and the gods of the old world died making sure that the universe could continue to exist without them, It has been years without any light in the night skies above and Stephan Harrington, Knight of Castle Starcourt has never seen a star and has only heard legends of their grace.
Stephan was willing to be the Paladin of the Paradigm and the Knight of Castle Starcourt,He was happy to not be the selfish sellsword he had been when he had first came to the castle and he was okay with the fact that he would never get the girl, Annete was just his friend and him and Johnathan had bled together protecting the "Children of the Court" and he was glad to know that the children would be safe as long as he was around, Robin was his weapons master and she ensured that his blade was never dull and he was okay with that, he was okay with everything
He was happy with never getting to fall in love again, That is until at King James' insistence to recruit the mysterious elven wizard "Edmund" to help William and Jane harness their magic better. He can't help but see the stars in this mysterious man's eyes
