Walking away from the hectic concert venue, Patrick can't help but reminisce upon his time in Fall Out Boy. The break was desperately needed and he'd never felt as confident before, but once the quiet silence of the empty streets set in--Patrick couldn't wash away the feeling of disappointment he felt within himself. The disappointment rooted in the countless critical reviews and waves of hate that had slowly but surely begun to affect him. He'd also felt something... different. A deep sense of longing that all started at Warped Tour 2005.

Across from them, Ray is in the bus’s bathroom, standing in front of the little mirror on the wall with her headphones in her ears, her iPod tucked into her jeans pocket, and no fucking shirt or bra on.
Clearly, she didn’t hear the knock because of the music, and now they’re both just fucking staring at her with her tits out, and Mikey feels like he’s falling off a cliff or something, somehow. He can’t catch his breath, but he also feels vaguely sick and like he’ll never be able to regain his footing.

Summary
The Cranial Units was a self proclaimed hardcore/emo band that John had started with his two best friends Danny and Sid in their Junior year of high school. John was the main guitarist and lyricist since nobody else really wanted to write. Throughout that year, the band shuffled between drummers but ultimately never found the right fit, at least according to John. He was weirdly picky about who deserved to be in his band no matter how skillful they were. It was then their senior year and the band was determined to get the group up and running at least before everyone went off to college. Danny and Sid decide to introduce a new band member without John's knowledge.

Mikey was the total package: a sorta-rockstar, a total party animal, and beautiful. All of the shit in his life made the dopamine rushes more enjoyable and sought after. The pride he feels at the end of the day after avoiding any substantial food, getting high or drunk and feeling more carefree than he could ever feel sober, sleeping with some guy he didn’t know and feeling heavenly for a solid few seconds. He had his life figured out.
But sometimes the pride he felt didn't overpower the hunger. Sometimes getting trashed just ended up in him feeling more messed up in the head than he would've been if he were sober. And Pete really didn't feel all that much like a stranger anymore.
