Summary
This is an alternate version of notastumph's Kick Drum Beating in My Chest Again. It is a different take on Prison Break but with Vampires. Patrick is a doctor in a prison and is happily married. One day, a new prisoner comes in named Pete Wentz, who is there to break William Beckett out of prison. Pete arranges for a riot of the prisoners to act as a distraction for his and William's escape plan, but it fails. Afterwards, Patrick feels himself being drawn to Pete and he doesn't know why. When Patrick has to transfer a stabbing patient to the hospital, things go very, very wrong. Patrick is framed for a crime he didn't commit. How will he adjust to life in prison? How will he get out? Will he ever see Pete again?

“Again?” William’s eyebrows furrowed, his head quickly turning to look at Mike.
Mike didn’t mean to say ‘again’, but he couldn’t make up an excuse this time. He was tired of chasing William, tired of seeing what was happening to him.
The rest of the band was well aware of what was happening. They all saw William’s headaches. They all heard the horror stories from Mike, but in this moment, Mike stayed quiet after his confession.
