Hyun has a hate/love relationship with a fellow race competitor. Only when Wumuti forces Hyun into the same room as Rui does the (one way) hate/love lose the hate. The further their relationship progresses the harder it gets for Hyun to keep a wall up - a space between themself and Rui, which they know will strike them hard in the back later on at a point where it’ll hurt them more than death itself.

Making up her mind, she downs the rest of her drink. She’s just beginning to stand to make her way across the club when a voice sounds in her ear, “I thought I would spare you the effort.”
Rui nearly jumps out of her skin. She turns her head and finds her conquest standing right beside her, elbows perched on the bar as she leans forward. She’s even prettier up close and her heart skips a beat before it starts to race in her chest.

“Yes please,” Rui whispered, her voice wavering slightly as she continued to watch how Wumuti would tie pretty, little bows all over her body.Or, Wumuti spoils Rui on her birthday.

“Hyunie,” Wumuti started, as he stood in front of Hyun inside their practice room at the company, playing with his own fingers and eyes trained at the floor, not quite able to look the other in the eyes “when you get back to our dorm, would mind coming by my room, maybe? There is something I would like to talk to you about.”
“Of course, Muti-hyung,” Hyun answered, looking slightly perplexed, if not confused, “if you want, we can talk now? I have a bit of time before the vocal practice, and I’m sure our coach can wait a bit if you need me.”
“No, no, it’s fine. Actually, this isn’t just you- I mean not just about you, but also- well,” he paused, trying to collect his thoughts. Who knew just asking to talk would be this difficult? ”I want to talk to both you... and Rui-yah that is. So yeah… I’ll probably be in my room, so if you would just bring Rui along?”
Or, Wumuti has been in love with Hyun and Rui for years, but has never had the courage to say anything, as they are in a committed relationship, and have been for years. One day he finally breaks and confesses his love for them both.

Rui e Haru se conheceram na academia de dança, quando ainda eram jovens. Rapidamente se tornaram o casal do momento, representando o grupo de dança que viajava o mundo em competições, ganhando várias delas juntos e se tornando modelos para quem gostava de sua expressão.
Com o tempo e com a idade, contudo, a dança foi se tornando um trabalho bem mais sério, com Rui dando aulas de ballet e Haru acompanhando o grupo, ainda que tivesse parado de dançar. Eles eram um casal bonito, mas depois de tantos anos juntos, não sabiam mais que tipo de casal eram, e tudo já havia caído na rotina.
Quando Haru viaja para os Estados Unidos e deixa Rui por uma semana, seu mundo vira de ponta cabeça ao conhecer Wumuti, um estudante de artes plásticas asiático que era encantador e galanteador na medida certa, além de trazer de volta à Haru um senso de jovialidade que ele tanto sentia falta.
