It's only supposed to be a publicity stunt:
Hard-launch a fake relationship, promote their new podcast and finally stop worrying about every touch and every shared hotel room.Pretending should be easy. After all, they already live together, know each other better than anyone else, and apparently look convincing enough without even trying.
The difficult part is figuring out where the performance ends...and why neither of them seems particularly eager to find out.
Or: What if the hardlaunch actually was a PR stunt?

So he knows. Great.
The only thing worse than coming in your pants like a pubescent school boy at the thought of being drained of every last drop of blood, is the guy who was sucking your blood to notice.
Dan really needs some money to pay his rent. Phil really needs blood to survive. It's a pretty good deal, and Dan gets a lot more than he bargained for.
