The next few seconds pass by so slowly, Mark wonders if his soul has somehow managed to escape his body. Maybe Renjun didn’t hear that. His mouth snaps shut. The hands in his hair freeze. Mark glances up, meeting Renjun’s eyes in the mirror. The reflection shows his face is pink with confusion and surprise, and Renjun’s face mirrors his.
