Mark has a lot of time to think about his life and his heritage when Cecil was testing his loyalty after Chicago. After his best friend Willam encourages him to help an alien race, Mark decides to try and be the hero he thought his father was.
Mark shouldn’t have been surprised that William insisted on coming to an alien planet, or that his friend excelled at getting along with people, even if they were an entirely different race.
When the Viltrumites come to Thraxa looking for the soldier who abandoned his post, they are all too eager to test Nolan’s son, and end the life of the infant.

When I read about Lynx's signet manifesting I was very sad for what that meant for Xaden, I mean his last hope to not turn crumbled right in front of him. But at the same time i saw the hate that Lynx got and honestly I just felt bad for both. I mean Lynx manifested an extremely rare signet, which he knows he shouldn't have and then panicked and got dragged out and into getting examined. I think that the few snippets we've got of Lynx before this scene made me a bit attached to this poor baby and I felt bad that he just got the biggest target on his back right now.

Somehow Shikamaru beating Sasuke in a spar spiraled into a peculiar pipeline of... weird happenings. One direct consequence of this leading to them both getting kidnapped to some underground experimentation chambers (which was rather embarrassing) and various other unfortunate events. Some of these weird happenings include but are not limited to: discovering S-rank secrets on accident, inciting mild clan-warfare, and a rather ridiculous number of tomatoes being murdered.
