Misty spent her days helping the Yellowjackets with EVERYTHING they asked her to do (and even things they didn't).
She was an honorary member and was considered a key part of the team's dynamics.
Before the plane crash and before the attack on Allie, the little assistant coaches held out hope of being treated well by the girls.
Apart from Van's somewhat risqué jokes and Nat's "look at me, but don't touch me" face, the rest didn't bother her, and both Jackie and Laura Lee were grateful for her actions.

“Shut up – I can wear the cap because I’m not about to flirt with her.” You say as if she hasn’t been borderline teasing you every time the two of you are alone together.
“Some people suck.” Gen shrugs. “If she decides her marriage is a shit show and flirts with you – are you going to stop her?”
That had never crossed your mind because sure Shauna flirts but it’s not like it’s anything real, she probably just enjoys the fact that you react so obviously every time. You open and close your mouth a few times, you have self-control (no you don’t), you could turn her down (you’re really not sure about that), you’re a grown-up (an empirical fact).
“I would try really hard.” You reply because you can’t really lie to Gen; you can omit the truth but that’s it really, and even then she has a habit of sniffing up your omissions.
