Summary
Several hundred years after the start of the Third Age, Morgoth uses a single thread in the Song of the world to slip back into Arda. This time, he does not challenge the Valar directly. He is far more cunning.
He blankets Valinor in a spell, trapping the peaceful - elves and Valar and Maiar alike – in blissful ignorance, their memories wiped of any life beyond their borders. The troublemakers of the House of Finwe are locked away where they cannot cause trouble. And the rest of Middle Earth is left to the dominion of Morgoth.
Unfortunately for Morgoth, the House of Finwe are very bad at remaining quiet. And this time around, they’re not fighting each other.

Summary
Harry arrives in Middle Earth and finds out it has a Dark Lord problem. His immediate reaction? Plan the heist of the century to break a magically binding oath so elves won't be compelled to kill each other. He figured it was the easiest way to mess up the Dark Lord's plans. He really doesn't understand how much he changed the fate of Eä. He also doesn't really care. If he has the ability to mess with a Dark Lord, why not?

This changes things.

Summary
The story begins when Feanor and his brothers are kids. One evening, Feanor took Fingolfin and Finarfin into the forest, to show them something unusual. Curious little creatures, called firebugs. Measuring about 3 inches high, they appeared to be a hybrid of elves and fireflies. They had delicate wings, long antennae and, to Feanor’s amusement, glowing butts!
The brothers sat down on a log, with the little bugs flittering around Feanor’s lantern. And Feanor told the firebugs’ origin story to his brothers.
The firebugs were originally elves, but the Dark Lord (Morgoth) captured them and tormented them. Some of these elves were able to break free, but in doing so, they damaged their souls. So in an act of mercy, the Valar restored these broken elves as firebugs. Little glowing creatures, who could play safely in the woods of Valinor.
But by the end of the First Age, Mandos's Halls were full of elves. Some were seriously soul damaged. Others were known for their *ahem* dubious behaviour.
What should be done with them? Perhaps they could return as firebugs; to heal, or to be redeemed.

When Gil-galad falls at the end of the Second Age, neither Galadriel nor Elrond want the crown. Being High King of the Noldor seems like a good way to die in some horrible way.
The crown still needs to be passed on though, and there is still one other grandchild of Finwe on the shores of Middle Earth…

Celegorm imagined himself in a forest; lounging under the leafy canopy, and with Aredhel by his side. They were drinking white wine together, and chatting about their latest hunt. Aredhel smiled at him; blue eyes sparkling and white wine sparkling in her glass.
“...and there was this Dark Elf; Eol was his name,” Curufin was saying. “And when I stopped him and asked him to state his business…”
Celegorm smiled back, and said something funny. Aredhel laughed and leaned in closer…
“...he was searching for his wife, the White Lady of the Noldor! He had married Aredhel, can you believe that, brother?"
______________________________________Celegorm is shocked when he learns what has happened to Aredhel. Will this darken his spirit? And if so, can anything redeem him?
