It's just wire. It can't suffocate you. Except it can.

AU in which a series of emergencies disrupts the competitive skating season, throwing Victor and Yuuri together. Yuuri has idolized and pined for Victor for years, but Victor's just discovering all the things that make Yuuri wonderful, and adoring every of them. Yakov is at his wits end with his skaters. Yuri Plisetsky could not be more irritated.
“You're not a morning person, Yuuri?” Victor sounded amused, and Yuuri turned…to find his face only inches away. He almost passed out. He almost combusted.
“Uhhhh. Not really."
“What is your perfect morning?” Victor asked, not moving away, so Yuuri put his back against the cold of the window. Because otherwise he might have done something so ridiculous there wasn’t a name for it. (Kiss, kiss was the name of it)
“A late one,” Yuuri said. “Waking late, without an alarm. Coffee and breakfast while my roommate catches me up on All the Gossip. Maybe second breakfast. Then finding a quiet patch of ice.”
“Second breakfast? Like a hobbit?” Victor laughed and Yuuri laughed as well, confused. His idol was a nerd? The most beautiful man in the world thought he was funny?

He exhaled in a single exasperated sigh.
“Okay. Okay. Okay. Um.”
Kakashi’s fingers brushed over his hand once more, eyes narrowing in concern.
“Do you... do you ever think we’ll...”
Yamato trailed off, the latter half of his question getting caught for a final moment in his throat. He and Kakashi shared what they felt was a momentary, mind-reading glance, both of them holding each other’s eyes and opening their mouths to simultaneously finish the sentence.
“Have sex?” - “Get married?”
They both recoiled, shock striking through to the soles of their shoes.
“What?” They asked in tandem once more.
A brief silence fell between them, and neither knew who was to start first.
Yamato took the initiative, needing confirmation for what he absolutely had to have misheard.
“Married? Did you say married? You want to get married?!”
Giving a slight shrug, Kakashi nodded.
“But let’s not blow over that you just brought up having sex. I’d like to go back to that.”

“Iruka fell asleep in my bed,” Naruto complains. “But I wasn’t tired.”
“Oh?” Kakashi asks. This wouldn’t be the first time that Iruka has gone in for a bedtime story and come stumbling out an hour or two later, rubbing sleep from his eyes. Kakashi doesn’t know how he manages it; Naruto is not a peaceful sleeper by any stretch of the imagination.
“The poor guy was really tuckered out,” Naruto says, a perfect imitation of Iruka, and Kakashi doesn’t bother hiding his smile. He’d probably mind Naruto having a favourite parent more if Iruka wasn’t his favourite, too.
(or: Iruka's longer-than-usual work hours are making him exhausted and cranky, so Naruto and Kakashi assign themselves the important mission of getting him to take some time off. Predictably, it goes a little sideways.)
