Summary
Jason didn’t know when it started. If he thought about it, he remembered the bright light that surrounded his mom in her last days. After that, he noticed the way some people lit up, outlined in a growing brightness that emitted from the edges of their beings. The brighter the individual, the closer they were to death.
At the parties that Bruce insisted on dragging him to, he expected the dim light from the tired old businessmen who drank too much and were limping closer to their ends, glowing a little more every time Jason saw them.
What he did not expect was for the 12-year-old neighbor kid to light up like a damn Christmas tree the second Jason laid his eyes on him.

Jason grew up in Crime Alley. Of course he was aware of the meta trafficking rings and what happened to the kids who displayed powers but it was just another shitty thing about Gotham. He hated it, sure but he tended to not think about it too much. However when he woke up that morning it was the only thing he could think of.
He had grown wings. He didn’t want to have wings. There was no way for him to keep the wings hidden. There was only one thing he could do.
Feathers fell to the floor stained red by his blood.
Jason couldn't help but wonder if he really made the right choice.
It was too late anyway. He couldn't go back.Or : What if Jason was a winged meta? How would he react to it? How differently would the Lazarus Pits work for him? How much would this change the way people interact with him? Let’s find out!

A pause before the body next to him shifted and Jason's bed creaked slightly as his father turned to look at him.
"For what, Jaylad?" Bruce asked softly, his voice still husky from sleep.
"Thank you for being safe," he answers softly, before burying his face into Bruce's bicep, not wanting to see the expression on the older man's face.

Bruce Wayne’s had his share of bad days, especially after what happened with dick. He had had nights where every shadow in Gotham feels like a ghost he failed to save. He’s forgotten what a quiet morning looks like, what it feels like to take a breath without waiting for the next crisis.
Then Jason Todd happens.
A mouthy kid with scraped knees, too big eyes, and more heart than sense and somehow Bruce finds himself doing something he hasn’t done in years: taking a day off.It’s supposed to be simple. Pancakes, a zoo, an old movie. A small promise that life can be good again.
But between laughter over cold chips and a visit to two silent graves, Bruce starts to realize he’s not just giving Jason a home, he’s learning how to be one all over again.A soft quiet day in Gotham where no one dies, no one fights and the only thing that hurts is how much it matters.
It will be a painful memory to look back on in the future, but for now, just now, they can enjoy the moment.

But sooner or later Tim should have known Gotham being a city of secrets, nothing stays buried forever. Especially not when the bats get involved with their trashy next door neighbor whose behavior seems more and more contradictory.
Tim had saved them all more times than he could count, maybe this time they could return the favor.

When a confrontation with a powerful magic user goes awry, Damian is cursed, robbing him of his voice. Or, communicate without a fresh bruise appearing, that is.
What begins as an inconvenience quickly spirals into something far worse, as he finds himself struggling with the mounting realization: no one has noticed. As his silence deepens, so do the rifts with his family. He’s not helped by the many more sinister theories the people around him assume because of his new temperament.
One thing is certain: he really, really hates magic.

Or: in a universe where Jason wasn't killed by the Joker, where Tim's parents die on a plane accident when he's 13 years old, his uncle Eddie steps up to take care of him per his parents request.
Once Eddie shows his true colors, Tim will have to fight not just only to survive, but to take back what has been stolen from him. It’s a good thing he won’t have to do it alone. -

Bruce gets to experience the wonder years of toddlerhood with a son he’s already failed once before. He’s determined not to do it again.
Meanwhile, Dick is planning Jason’s future career in football, Tim is being force-fed soggy snacks from sticky toddler hands, Damian is already trying to teach Jason to read and tie his shoes, and Cass has become the champion of older sisters everywhere. Stephanie is very busy taking pictures for a commemorative album, of course. It’s totally not blackmail at all, Tim, c'mon, but yes obviously she'll share.
Or, the one where Jason makes a mysterious wish and ends up a toddler and maybe quite possibly and inadvertently brings his family back together. Maybe the real bonding experience was all the baby proofing we did along the way.

Damian Al Ghul Wayne dies pathetically. Pathetically, but peacefully, with two brothers by his side and the voice of his father in his ear. He foolishly believes that he won't resurrect someway or another.
Why. Why did he think that? Why, with the absurdity that is his life? He honestly should have known better.
Or: Thirteen year old Damian wakes up as a toddler version of himself. As you can imagine, he's not particularly pleased about the toddler part. Or that he's in a different universe with no way to go back.
The silver lining is that he now has the chance to be Father's only child (temporarily). But that's only after he gets home because in case he forgot to mention, he woke up in the League.
Fuck.
Regardless of the differences of this strange universe, he is determined to ensure the adoption of his siblings. If his plans do not succeed, Damian will be forced to take...drastic measures to bring them together.

Oh, and he's pretty much accepted the fact that he'll never meet his soulmate. A year later, Batman walks into the bar while Jason's at work.
The Batman just needed information from a bar that his newest target frequents. He didn't expect to see a little baby working the place. He didn't expect his father bat instincts to go off. He didn't expect the new soul-mark he found on himself later that night.

Jason's not sure if it's because they trust him that much or if it's because he's usually heavily armed and willing to kill. But it keeps happening- and it's both helping his image and ruining it.
