Eva quickly copies Tati and Nayeli takes a few steps away from the duo. She subtly scoots closer to the main exit.
“No offense guys, but I ain't gonna follow a rat.” Bailey rolls her eyes as the duo fumes in anger.
Tati does what the rat god would have wanted. She slaps a beach, says a prayer, and snatches Eva from the ground and then princess carries them to safety far from their clearly demented friend. After all she must be quite ill to not fully comprehend the Holiness of our lord and Savior.

Alhaitham considered this. “You want me to fall in love?”
Kaveh shrugged. “I want you to test your own hypothesis.”
Another pause.
Then—
“That would require a subject.”
Kaveh snorted. “Good luck with that.”
Alhaitham hummed.
And then—calm, calculated, infuriating—he lifted his pen, tilted his head, and wrote beneath Kaveh’s challenge:
“You’ll do.”
Or, how Alhaitham accidentally weaponized his thesis as a flirting technique and Kaveh is absolutely not having a good time.

Kaveh gets injured on a job site, leaving him with significant damage to his eyes, temporarily - or perhaps permanently - unable to see. Completely blind, he has to learn to view the world through a whole new lens.
“There’s a good chance that the injury to his eyes won’t heal. He may lose his sight. Permanently.”
Alhaitham's heart plummeted. He glanced down at Kaveh's pale face, the bandage obscuring his eyes as he lay unconscious suddenly seeming far more oppressive.
“I see,” Alhaitham eventually managed through the lump forming in his throat. It would be Kaveh's life, his career - his entire livelihood - in jeopardy when he awoke.
The prospect of Kaveh’s blindness tormented Alhaitham for countless reasons, but selfishly... he couldn’t bear the thought of never again seeing those beautiful crimson-golden eyes, the very essence of the light in his life - eyes that lit up with joy at a good meal or a perfectly aged glass of wine, blazed with passion as he argued with Alhaitham, and stared up at him with an innocent, soul-stirring warmth, always so unaware of the profound effect the mere sight of him had on Alhaitham.
