Steve’s into minute two of debating swallowing his pride and getting Crust Away (who’s he kidding? He always cuts the crusts off his sandwiches) when he hears two very distinct voices from the next aisle over.
“I could barely fit it in my mouth,” the first voice whisper shouts, earning a hissed grimace from his companion. “How the fuck am I supposed to—”
“Okay, you don’t have to fit it all in your mouth at once!”
Steve’s brows rise without his say so, compelled to tune in against his better judgement.
An overheard conversation at a grocery store on one fateful morning.

Except this time, Steve has found himself standing in front of a florist's shop, and not for good reason.
The shield lies amongst the shards of grass from the broken window, where flower petals and decorative trinkets have been destroyed. The three teenagers have since vacated the area, and now Steve's left with a very disgruntled florist.
“Hi,” Steve says to the shop owner. “You’re probably wondering how this happened.”

Steve’s breath hitches, chest tightening under the sudden weight. His hands twitch at his sides, instinct urging him to push James off, but he doesn’t move. He can’t. Not with James looking at him like that.
“James,” Steve says, his voice low and warning, though it comes out softer than he intends.
James tilts his head, smirking. “Relax. You should be used to this by now. Don’t you and your Bucky do this all the time?”
Or
Steve suddenly finds himself living with two Buckys. One a Captain America from another timeline, the other his own brainwashed ex-assassin. What could possibly go wrong?

Cartier books him for a luxury watch and jewelry campaign!! And behind the camera is Steve Rogers, a fashion photographer, calm, composed, and known for making even the most rigid models relax under his lens.
Steve has a huge celebrity crush on Bucky.
He has seen all his films, read and watched and memorised all the interviews and maybe even saved a couple of photos on his phone that he’ll never admit to.
Now, he has to keep his cool while Bucky sits in front of him, in an open-collared shirt, adjusting a Cartier watch and brushing his fingers (and that ring) against his face in poses that were already going to test Steve’s professionalism.
And it's going to lead to a very unique and challenging journey for Steve, as he'd be trying to live a normal life, but everything always seem to bring him back to Bucky, one way or another...
