Or, believing in Primus after vorns at war is hard. A saboteur and a tactician, both crumbling under the stresses of war, manage to find glimpses of salvation in the other.

“But if the Matrix is what’s causin’ the trouble, then maybe it needs to go - just for a bit,” Jazz stated, not looking away from the Prime.
Ratchet shook his head and snarled, “The Matrix needs a host, always. You can’t just take it out of him!”
“So someone will have’ta hold it,” Jazz supplied as if it was just that simple.
“So someone will have to -- Can you hear yourself, Jazz?!” Ratchet snarled. His sharp medic optics catch something new and his arms plunge into Optimus’ lower abdomen. Jazz’s hand slipped off his arm in the process. “You can’t just hand a sacred artifact to someone, you rusted cog sucker, it’ll take a new host and we don’t have the resources to handle that!”

Summary
Prowl finds himself just four metres from the altar at a shotgun wedding between Optimus Prime and Megatron as a result of four things.
One, the war is over. Two, Autobot and Decepticon badges do not exist anymore. Three, Optimus Prime mentioned he was the sire of Megatron's not-so-secret carriage. And Four, Prowl was asked to be his best mech, and couldn't say no because Jazz had looked sad when he tried to.
Which is to say, there are five reasons Prowl is at this wedding; the final being the fact he is in love with Jazz and has no slagging clue.

Jazz snorts, a little sound. It sears Prowl's neural net, but not as much as the first time. He hopes that it isn't a permanent fixture; he loved Jazz's laugh, before all of this.
Prowl wakes up with a cog, doors he didn't have before, and a beefy computer hardwired into his processor that he did have before but didn't know he had. But Jazz is still with him, and, well. That's what really matters, isn't it?
