When she first arrived at Hotel Z, and when she first learnt that AZ had kept this room for her, they had been pretty much pristine. Apparently, AZ had cleaned these rooms on a regular basis, airing them out in case anyone he knew would drop by unexpectedly.

Okay. So, Serena’s going to be okay, for the time being. Apparently her Holo Caster got busted at some point, and she’d never bought an actual phone, insisting that there had to be something unethical about the Rotom or Porygon that the tech companies have been putting in them over the past few years, so Shauna’s honestly a bit concerned about leaving her at Hotel Z for the time being, but Taunie will be there.
It’s not that Shauna wants to leave Serena behind! There’s just a few things that she needs to look into, and bringing Serena along just… It’s not a good idea. So she kisses her forehead and leaves her in the capable paws and claws of her Pokémon.

The first attempt, he doesn’t change much. A few extra meetings here, a few conversations there, but, mostly, he tries to keep on track. He watches Lysandre, his dearest friend, over coffee in cafés and dinners shared at their homes, and tries to understand, just a little more, how his story would come to end that way.
