Anakin has completed his responsibilities as a Jedi general and is preparing to leave the Order and reunite with his family. He hopes that he will have a chance to rest and heal from all the terrible things he’s seen and done in the name of duty. A place where he and his loved ones don’t have to spend every day fighting for their lives.
The ceasefire between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems has held for weeks now, and treaty negotiations are underway. Even though Palpatine is still in the wind, many are hopeful that the peace will last.
Not everyone is as optimistic about the future, however. Some individuals believe they know what is best for the galaxy and the people in it, regardless of what those people have to say. And they are desperate to protect their own.
But choices born of desperation rarely lead to good outcomes.

Cody grips the read-only datapad in one hand. In the other, he holds the two datachips he was given minutes before from a jetti he has never met.
(But a jetti he still knows all too well, from late night conversations after one too many battles, one too many days without sleep, one too many drinks. Drinks to take the edge off the memories, to steady shaking, callused hands, loosen normally stoic lips.
Cody knows of Quinlan Vos through the shape of his General’s childhood stories, the way his companion would smile, a little wistful, a touch of mirth. The barest, smallest moments of joy, found thriving in spite of this bleak hell of a galaxy at war, bringing youth and life to his face, the worn wrinkles carved from stress smoothing out, making way for laugh lines and the suggestion of dimples under his grey-streaked beard.
He hopes that he can one day get to know the man who gave his General such memories.)

Summary
Years into the war, Obi-Wan disappears off a battlefield, presumed captured by Separatists. There is no sign of him for months, and Anakin begins to spiral, becoming more and more desperate. But when his Master is finally heard from again, it’s worse than he ever could have imagined.
Unbeknownst to the Jedi, Obi-Wan was brought directly to Count Dooku. He had more than three months of the Sith’s undivided attention, his grandmaster’s ultimate goal being to force him into joining him, by any means necessary. In the end, Dooku succeeds in making him Fall.
But.
The Count failed to consider the depth of Obi-Wan Kenobi’s devotion (attachment), to the people in his life, to the people of the galaxy.
And it would be the undoing of both Darth Tyrannous and his Master.

Summary
Fix-it au where Obi-wan is a bit more well-adjusted than he is in canon, which leads to Anakin also being a slightly more functional human being. Things are going a bit better until Palpatine is kidnapped by General Grievous and brought to Mustafar, where the cyborg forces him to reveal himself as the Sith Master behind the war.
Anakin gets 'vadered,' and everyone has to deal with the fallout of the war.
Were Sidious' machinations the reason the Republic fell, or is it still doomed to crumble under the weight of its own corruption?
Will the Jedi Order face the failings that allowed them to be controlled and nearly destroyed by their ancient enemy or will they bury their heads back in the sand?

He is undeniably, horrifically, extremely attached to Anakin Skywalker. Whether he ever directly faces it or not, Obi-Wan is aware of it on some level. He knows it because he indulges Anakin. He indulges him, probably far too much. At least that's what he suspects anyone else would say, if they found out he fucks his former apprentice for most of the war, because Anakin wants it. Needs it. Asks for it. And Obi-Wan gives Anakin everything he possibly can. Even if it risks destroying them both. Even if he is flagrantly violating the Jedi Code.
