This time, he was greeted by a new, extremely adorable face, with chubby cheeks and the smallest nose that Dazai had ever seen, all covered in freckles that are just barely visible. As if all this doesn't make him look extraordinary enough, his appearance is completed with a beautiful shade of ginger hair. Not to mention the big, blue eyes that were staring right into his soul and making him nervous.

Dazai 'joined' the Ada, right?
Dazai is still a member of the port mafia, none-the-less he's the boss.
He's been undercover in the Ada, leaking info to the mafia, for just over a year, whilst also bossing around the Port.
No one knows about this arrangement other than Mori, who has been posing as the boss for the time being to not just the other organisations but to the oblivious mafia members, Chuuya, Dazai's now finance and the first person Dazai told about this mission, and Hirotsu, a seasoned assassin and a friend of Dazai (he got told by Dazai and Mori as to attempt to contol the Black Lizard easier)

Summary
“Mayflies take two to three years to fully develop,” they are beautiful creatures, in Dazai’s opinion. Their wings flutter in the early morning with the ethereal beauty of a deity. Waking up next to Chuuya in the morning is like watching something divine slowly being drawn out of slumber, blinking open his eyes in a way that is so captivating yet mortal. Chuuya is the balance between Godly and human, and Dazai would never have him any other way. “And when they do, they finally leave the water, which is where they’ve been living for their entire lives.”
Chuuya listens intently.
“And then, in one to two days, they die. Isn’t it ironic?” How something that takes two years to build up topples into nothing within twenty four to forty eight hours? How something that beautiful is designed to only exist for so long?
That is Chuuya and Dazai - two mayflies together, leaving their natural habitats and escaping the water, only to die within one day, doomed by their own choices. The moment they are truly free of their inhumanity will be the moment that their dead, limp bodies plunge back into the sea.

“Stop thinking so much, stupid mackerel,” Chuuya slurs, drunk. Dazai laughs and pulls him in for another kiss. They are nineteen and in love, and Chuuya is leaning on Dazai’s side like he’s belonged there for his entire life. They kiss the night away, until the alcohol doesn’t matter, and all of their issues fade into the background like meaningless noise. At one point, they dance, laughing and stumbling over themselves, whiskey making their movements slow. They kiss in the middle, then return for another round of drinks.
Dazai, nineteen, won’t remember the love confession he makes in the middle of the night. Chuuya will not remember the way he looks into Dazai’s chocolate eyes and tells him, “I love you, too”.
Right person, wrong time.
